Marion R. Fremont-Smith
It is with great sadness that I report Marion R. Fremont-Smith passed away peacefully at her home on December 30, 2021, at the age of 95. While her work helping found the field of Nonprofit Law long predates my involvement, I can share that she constantly encouraged and supported my attempts to contribute to that field. This included through agreeing to meet with me one-on-one when I was able to visit Harvard once, as well as inviting me to present at the nonprofit law seminar that she helped start with Dan Halperin.
