IRS Suspends Processing Exemption Applications

Earlier this week the IRS announced various limitations on the services it provides given the ongoing government shutdown. Included in that list was the following:
Tax-exempt groups. The IRS will not be processing applications or determinations for tax-exempt status or pension plans.
