Feds Investigate, Baltimore Mayor Resigns
Following up on previous coverage in this space, Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh’s nonprofit-related problems led to her resignation earlier this month in the wake of FBI and IRS agents raiding her homes and mayoral office. The issue that led to her downfall: alleged self-dealing, arising from the $500,000 purchase of a book she wrote by a nonprofit on the board of which she sat.
