Seven Trends That May Impact Charitable Giving In 2019

    In this article, the Forbes Nonprofit Council weighs in on what trends they believe will have the biggest impact on charitable donations in 2019. They believe that the tax changes may benefit nonprofits. Gloria Horsely from Open to Hope believes that nonprofits need to watch how organizations and individuals react to the new tax reform to see if they are willing to contribute the same amount. Kimberly Lewis of Goodwill Industries of East Texas thinks that intelligent, educated donors will aim to make an impacts. She thinks that the same gut-filled angst that brought “rage philanthropy” into play will continue to play out in ways that will benefit nonprofits. She goes on to say, “people want to be heard and will make their point by making donations to the causes that are important to them.” Steven Moore from M.J.
