Ways and Means Hearing on Tax Exempt Universities Today

This afternoon at 2:00 pm eastern, Ways and Means holds a hearing entitled From Ivory Towers to Dark Corners: Investigating the Nexus Between Antisemitism, Tax-Exempt Universities, and Terror Financing You can watch it at the linked page but I would not expect much more than generalized complaints about university administrators coddling Hamas through silence, nuance, thinking aloud, failing to tar and feather students and faculty, or just going about their educational mission with logic and a noticeable lack outrage. The witness list includes a college student, a campus organization, a national security advocacy group complaining about the UN and the WHO’s support for Hamas, an actress who as appeared in CSI, HBO’s In Treatment, and a few other shows, and the CEO of the Anti-Defamation League. Nobody from ACE, NACUA, or even from an ivory towered campus. Naw, none of that. Catchy title, though. It might be a good way to spend a rainy hump day afternoon. Watching a dog and pony show, I mean.
