“The Third Sector and Sustainable Social Change: New Frontiers for Research,” Universitat de Barcelona,Spain July 9-12, 2008

This is the 8th annual conference of the International Society for Third Sector Research (ISTR) which fosters research in the areas of philanthropy, civil society and the non-profit sector and aims to build a global scholarly community in these fields. Conference activities will include workshops on the state of philanthropy in Africa, organized civil society as a facilitator for democracy, social justice and active participation and the Gender Third Sector Research Agenda, among others.
