Canopy Forum: Law, Religion, and the Johnson Amendment

The Canopy Forum On the Interactions of Law & Religion at Emory University is in the process of publishing a collection of essays focusing on the Johnson Amendment. Here are the two essays that it has published so far:

  • Benjamin Leff (American University), Religion, Politics, the Constitution, and Cost-Sharing Accounting: A Johnson Amendment Primer
  • Michael J. Broyde (Emory University), Endorsing with Caution: Jewish Law and the Politics of the Pulpit

Additional essays are expected from Rebecca Markert (Americans United for Separation of Church and State), Kevin P. Hancock (Campaign Legal Center), and Mark Valeri (Washington University in St. Louis).
